I must admit that I take the call of Jesus to sacrifice one's self for their bride, especially as presented by St. Paul, quite literally when it comes to the way I treat Lucille. It is, in my heart, very important for me as a husband to work very hard to make sure she knows that I am thinking about her, that she is indeed the centre of my life - right beside Jesus Christ.

My overall sense of the Church's teaching on us being involved in the business world is to foster community. For those of us who own our own business, this essentially means to build a family with the employees, and for those who work for an employer it is to build their relationships with the other employees and their employer.

The growth process of being a new mother keeps introducing me to several new experiences. One of these experiences is in regards to the Eucharist. It never ceases to amaze me that whenever I receive Eucharist, my child within the womb is blessed. I begin to think about the effect this has on our child. My wish is that I am beginning to fulfill what I believe to be one of my duties as a parent. That is, instilling our faith in our child. At times, I find it difficult to grasp the idea of teaching about the Eucharist because our child is yet to be born. As a result, I think maybe this is where trust and faith come in. First, trusting that our loving Father and Our Lady in heaven are taking care of everything I may not see (even though I am very curious to know). Second, is having enough faith to believe that the latter is true.
